Moments ago, IMPACT Wrestling took to their social media Twitter account to announce that IMPACT mainstay Eddie Edwards (escorted by wife Alisha Edwards) will be taking on NJPW young lion Yuya Uemura.
Yuya & Eddie both took part In a #1 Contenders match for the IMPACT World Title at Under Siege this past Friday, alongside Frankie Kazarian, Moose, Jonathan Gresham, & Alex Shelley. Shelley ended up hitting Yuya with the Shellshock and gaining the pinfall.
Eddie Edwards was previously in a feud with PCO, and now seems to have his sights locked on Frankie Kazarian, who he exchanged strikes with right off the bat when the match started.
Yuya has been with IMPACT for the past few months, and learning from some of the best talent in the business. He recently moved from Japan to Orlando, Florida, and has been a constant part of the company lately.
