Jerry Jarrett’s Funeral Services Announced

On February 14, 2023, Jerry W. Jarrett, 80, of Franklin, who had formerly resided in Hendersonville, passed away. Jerry’s parents, the late Winston Nathaniel Jarrett and the late Christine “Teeny” Wright Jarrett were in Nashville, Tennessee, on September 4, 1942.

Jerry Jarett was a well-known promoter of professional wrestling, a businessman, a storyteller, a visionary, and a loving husband, father, and grandfather. The survivors of Jerry Jarrett include his wife of 51 years, Deborah Jarrett; his children, Jerry Jarrett, Jr., Jeff Jarrett (Karen), Jennifer Mathews (Tate), and Jason Jarrett (Lindi); his grandchildren, Harper, Carter, Joslyn, Jaclyn, Kyra, Jeryn, Kody, Jarret, Jackson, Jenna, Judson, Ava, Blakely, and Jude.

On February 21, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., Long Hollow Church in Hendersonville, Tennessee, will host a celebration of Jerry Jarett’s life. Prior to the memorial service, there will be an hour of family visitation. Donations in Jerry’s honor may be donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in place of flowers. Sumner Funeral & Cremation Lakeside, Hendersonville (615) 822-4442 is in charge of making the arrangements.

Jerry Jarrett may be gone, but his impact on the business will inspire future generations to do their part in making the hardcore world of professional wrestling even greater in the future.
