NXT’s Amari Miller Returns To Twitter And Apologizes For Tweet Regarding Sasha Banks

Amari Miller has returned to Twitter after deactivating her account following backlash regarding a controversial tweet the NXT recruit posted.

On Wednesday, Miller tweeted that she was looking to become the second African American NXT Women’s Champion behind Ember Moon. She noted that Banks is “German and Black” after fans said Banks was also an African American NXT Women’s Champion. Banks’ mom is of German descent.

Miller returned to Twitter on Thursday and posted her apology.

I didn’t mean bad intentions with what I had said but I do want to apologize. I meant something super well and it came across horribly. I want to sincerely apologize to everyone. I also have to understand that posting on a social media platform can sound one way to me, as I’m typing and can come across totally different but that’s lessons learned for sure. People make mistakes and people grow and that is exactly what this experience was for me.
