Former NXT Champion Returns To WWE on SmackDown

Tick Tock… Tick Tock.

Tonight on SmackDown, the show was headlined by Roman Reigns and his future challenger for Clash At The Castle, Drew Mclntyre going face-to-face. But, this isn’t exactly what happened. Roman Reigns made his way to the ring alongside the Usos and gave prayers out to Paul Heyman, who is not here tonight after being F-5’d through a table from Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam. Roman mentioned his next challenger is Drew Mclntyre, and that promoted Drew to come out. While Mclntyre was walking down the ramp, he was stopped in his tracks from the sounds of a familiar theme song. Suddenly, Drew was attacked from behind by Karrion Kross. The former NXT Champion who was released by WWE shortly after coming up to RAW and getting a gimmick switch, is now back. Kross beat down Drew and slammed his head into the steel stairs multiple times. After this, Scarlett, Kross’ valet, appeared with her hour glass and placed it in front of Roman Reigns. Tick Tock, Roman.

What could this mean for Roman vs. Drew? Has Kross just cut the line? We’ll have to tune into SmackDown next week to find out!
