Road Dogg Says Vince McMahon Worked Him Until He Had To Quit As A WWE Producer

Even a member of DX couldn’t keep up with Vince McMahon.

McMahon is a notoriously hard worker, and he expects the same from his employees. One person who found that out the hard way was Road Dogg, who worked for the WWE as a producer for a time. For those not in the know, producers in a pro wrestling sense are the lead creatively on segments and matches in the company.

Speaking on the latest “Oh….You Didn’t Know?” podcast, the former New Age Outlaw member talked about how McMahon played a huge part in his decision not to resume the producer role. Vince asked so much from Road Dogg that he couldn’t take it anymore.

It was not that I couldn’t work with Vince. He outworked me. He worked me until I had to tap out, and that’s just who and how he works. It’s not mean or malice or anything, he’s just a workaholic, and if you keep up, then you fall by the wayside, and that’s what happened after a while … It was finally just like, ‘Let me go home for a minute,’ and you know, we went from there. But yeah, he’s just a workhorse, man, and I tapped out. The old man tapped me out.

Road Dogg on Oh… You Didn’t Know?

It is not news to anyone that Vince McMahon is one of the hardest working people in the pro wrestling industry but it is questionable that Road Dogg was practically worked to the bone trying to keep up with him.
