Two of NJPW’s 2020 Young Lions are set to clash whilst out on excursion in England, as Gabriel Kidd is due to face off once again with Yota Tsuji, at Wrestle Carnival’s Carnival Of Champions show on the 30th of January.
Wrestle Carnival made the match up announcement via social media earlier this evening;
Kidd is currently plying his trade on New Japan Strong over in the USA with the other LA Dojo members but is due for a UK Tour that will see him compete for Rev Pro UK, Wrestle Carnival and North Wrestling NCL. Tusji has been competing for Rev Pro UK during his excursion which has seen him plenty of high profile matches and is in a current angle with the Legion and fellow NJPW star Shota Umino.
Tsuji replaces Eric Young on the card against Kidd, after Young had to cancel his UK tour, Kidd will have the home town advantage against Tsuji this time with Wrestle Carnival holding their shows in Nottingham. Tsuji and Kidd battle several times with and against each other whilst Kidd was in Japan during 2020, including a set of matches against each other and Yuya Uemura during that years G1 Climax.

Tsuji and Kidd will not be the only top stars at Wrestle Carnival’s Carnival of Champions with former ROH star Joe Hendry competing against wXw Unified Champion Axel Tischer the former Alexander Wolfe.
