Jeff Hardy Reportedly Sober And Coherent Before His Last Match

Last Thursday, in a huge shock to the wrestling world, WWE veteran and long-time staple Jeff Hardy was released by the company. The release came days after a bizarre incident at a house show in Texas. During the show, Hardy would exit the ring in the middle of a six-man tag match, exit the arena, and then was sent home. A source from within WWE had reported that Hardy was displaying erratic behavior.

After the show, Hardy was sent home and was not present for the show the next day he was scheduled for. It was reported that after the event WWE offered Hardy help in the form of some sort of rehab but Hardy reported declined the offer.

Now conflicting reports are starting to surface. According to Wrestling News.co, a WWE backstage source claimed that Jeff Hardy seemed sober and fine and not impaired at all before his match.

“I saw him before that match and there was nothing out of the usual going on with him. Jeff deals with back and knee issues but I don’t think he drank anything or took any pills before that show. As far as I know, he’s been doing great since the DUI arrest from a couple years back. I know people are wondering why he would be allowed to go out there if he was f*cked up but he looked fine before the match.”

Jeff Hardy has yet to comment on everything that has transpired over the past week. Over the weekend, Jeff’s brother Matt, who is currently a part of AEW’s roster, sent out an interesting Tweet that got people talking and has some guessing if a Hardy Boys reunion is on the way sooner than later.

I feel Xtremely good about the future.

We will have to wait and see what is next for Hardy. However, I think all wrestling fans can agree that the one thing that matters is that Jeff’s health is number one.
