WWE President Nick Khan Says Netflix’s Documentary on Vince McMahon Is “Out of This World”

WWE announced in October 2020 that Netflix will be creating a four-part documentary on the WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon. The documentary is going to be produced by Bill Simmons and will be available for viewing on Netflix.

There is not yet a release date for the documentary series. Production currently seems to be flourishing judging by comments Nick Khan made on an investors call.

Khan noted on the Q3 investors call last week, in an attempt to promote the series, that the documentary scenes are “out of this world.”

Khan said, “We have seen early cuts of our upcoming Vince McMahon multipart Netflix documentary, which is executive produced by WWE and Bill Simmons, who did the acclaimed Andre the Giant documentary with us. The Vince cuts are out of this world, amazing. Wait until you see it.” (h/t Louis Dangoor of GiveMeSport)

According to Nick, the Vince McMahon series is said to be “one of the highest-budgeted documentaries” in the history of Netflix. We can assume from this that there is an extreme amount of commitment to this project by all parties.

The Andre the Giant documentary Khan mentioned, which was produced by the same producer, Bill Simmons, was well received. The documentary was published back in 2018 on HBO, and is now available for streaming on HBO Max. The documentary received a 7.8 out of 10 on IMDb.

Even though we do not yet know when the series will be released, we can assume there will be a lot of eyes on it when it is released.
