Randy Orton’s inclusion into the Royal Rumble match was made official on January 8th, but it seems the company also has other plans for the Viper.
According to a report by The Wrestling Observer Newsletter , Orton’s entry into the Royal Rumble match is apparently a “red herring.” Orton is currently involved in a feud with Alexa Bliss and Bray Wyatt.
Orton vs. Fiend in a gimmick match was the only other match we’ve heard as going to happen. Orton [in the Royal Rumble match] “was a Red Herring when it was announced but obviously everything is open to change”
We will have to see how the company will plan out the gimmick match for the Royal Rumble.
