Interesting Story Of How Victoria’s Widow’s Peak Finisher Was Taken From Current NXT Star

One of the most famous moves from a female in the WWE is Victoria’s Widow’s Peak. Victoria had a chance to talk to Fightful for their Making a Finisher series and revealed something interesting about her famous finisher.

During the interview, Victoria revealed that a current NXT star was 16 when thanks to Molly Holly, Victoria found the move she would go on to use as her finisher. She said Molly had seen this wrestler perform the move and brought it to her.

“Molly Holly saw an independent wrestler, I’m not going to say his name yet, do a move. And she came back and said Victoria, we don’t call each other by our real names in wrestling by the way, ‘Victoria there’s a move a move I think you should use for your finisher, because I was a big girl and I was one of the girls that could pick up everybody.’”

With a little bit of digging, we can find out that Victoria already revealed who the NXT star was about two years ago. In a January 2019 interview with Ring the Belle, Molly Holly and her also talked about the Widow’s Peak. Molly revealed she would watch indie wrestling tapes to steal moves and wound up suggesting the Widow’s Peak to Victoria after seeing it performed by Roderick Strong. Molly revealed she had actually wrestled Strong, saying she wrestled him “in the back of a trailer park in Florida. He was 14, I was 18, or so.”

When Holly suggested Victoria get a new finisher, she suggested the move and Vince McMahon happened to be ringside when she demonstrated it. Vince’s reaction told them all they needed to know about how good of a finisher it is. You can watch both videos below.
