WWE Had Rumored Creative Plans For Melina In NXT According To Jonny Fairplay

Fans began to get excited when it was rumored that Melina Perez was returning to television.

The former Diva’s Champion and manager of MNM was rumored to be making a return to the company that she eventually denied, but she also admitted she was open to returning to the company. Recently, someone revealed to the world that not only was she going to be signed, but they had creative plans for her in NXT.

Former Survivor contestant and pro wrestling manager Jon “Jonny Fairplay” Dalton was a guest on PWTorch’s TLC preview podcast with Wade Keller where Fairplay alleged he spoke with Robert Stone who said there were plans for her to be brought in as a member of the Robert Stone Brand.

“I hung out with Robbie E two weeks ago and he has no idea what he’s going to do. His plan was to bring in Melina and manage in NXT. She had to have surgery or something. They’re not using the guy.”

Fairplay didn’t give any further details, and no one knows if Melina will return to WWE television, and considering the source it’s entirely possible to take it with a grain of salt, but it’s definitely of note if it’s true. Melina would have made a valuable asset to the women’s roster of NXT as a veteran voice, something they also have with Mercedes Martinez.
