Update On EC3’s Ring Of Honor Status

Ring Of Honor’s Final Battle pay per view is on December 18th, and one of the first matches announced was EC3 to meet Jay Briscoe. The grudge match was looking to be a featured bout on the show, but unfortunately plans have changed.

EC3 was one of four talents to be forced to miss Final Battle because of failing a pre-flight COVID-19 test, and will be off the show unfortunately. The problem coming after that is that EC3’s RoH deal expires at the end of the year, making it difficult to potentially reschedule the match between him and the longtime RoH staple.

For those wondering if they’ll eventually see the payoff to that storyline, worry no longer. Fightful has reported that EC3 will return to RoH to complete his storyline with Briscoe. Their report has added that EC3 wants to see the storyline through from a creative standpoint, which means the match will eventually take place with potentially more time to add to the story to add more compelling elements to the already interesting story.

RoH has already announced that they will not be revealing the changes to the show involving the missing talent until the night of the show during the first hour of the event. The first hour will be airing free on several platforms including Facebook, YouTube, FITE, their HonorClub streaming service, and pay per view.
