ROH COVID-19 Testing Protocols Revealed Along With Changes To Final Battle Card

Ring of Honor lost four stars from their Final Battle card due to pre-travel COVID-19 testing. Bandido, Flamita, Kenny King, and EC3 have been pulled from the show, which has changes being looked at for the event. Now we have a glimpse on not only RoH’s COVID-19 testing policy, but how they’ll reveal the changes to the show.

PWInsider has revealed Ring of Honor will not disclose the changes to the card until the night of the show. According to their report, they will reveal the updates to the card during the free showing of the first hour of the pay per view that they’re live streaming on their streaming service and social media platforms. In addition to that, the website has detailed the company’s testing policy.

The free hour will be from 8pm-9pm EST, with fans who buy the show able to see it as well.

These changes were made thanks to the four talents failing the first part of their COVID-19 tests, which RoH has implemented. Ring of Honor’s COVID-19 testing happens in several parts, where it all begins before they even arrive to the RoH bubble.

It has been revealed that all talent is required to self-test under the supervision of a nurse via Zoom and submit those samples to a lab.

If they pass those tests, they’re then allowed to travel to the hotel RoH puts their talent up where they go to their room to undergo a series of additional test. They continue to get tested over the course of the tapings, making this one of the strictest procedures in pro wrestling currently. It is said it’s so strict due to the promotion having to answer to the Maryland State Athletic Commission.
