On Kenny Omega’s road to winning the AEW World Title, Omega had an unfortunate cancellation when Joey Janela was pulled from his match with him. Now, Omega is looking to make that up to fans.
Citing the fact that he has heard fans believe he wouldn’t have won the AEW Title had he been put in a position to face Joey Janela in the World Title Eliminator tournament, AEW shared a video where Omega issued a challenge for Janela to face him this Wednesday on Dynamite in a No DQ match.
Omega was “approached by a paparazzo” to get the video on his way to Mexico to make his appearance at AAA TripleMania against Laredo Kid tonight. Though given COVID-19 protocols and probably the need to quarantine, it’s probably safe to assume Omega may have long been in Mexico. Still, we can suspend belief for the sake of a story, right?
