NXT TakeOver Tradition Cancelled Due To COVID-19 Pandemic

When it comes to NXT, fans always expect some sort of surprise during their TakeOver specials. They have a tradition of showing their newly signed Superstars during the specials. Keith Lee, Matt Riddle and many others have appeared in the crowd to let fans know they are signed to NXT.

It seems that is no longer happening. On Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE announced their latest class of NXT signees which also had two members of the Rascalz. There is no live crowd to give them any cheers when they appear on the screen during the events either.

Meltzer added that the independent circuit scene in general has changed considerably over the past several months. There are simply not that many high profile wrestlers left that have not been acquired by a promotion.

He said that someone like Ethan Page could get some form of a pop from fans as he would be coming from Impact Wrestling, should he decide to go to WWE.
