Former EVOLVE Star Makes NXT Debut With New Name

When EVOLVE folded, several of their stars found a new home in the WWE. Many of their stars were part of the recent Performance Center training class, and now one of them has made it to television with a new name.

Anthony Greene actually debuted on television a few weeks back on 205 Live under the Greene name along with fellow EVOLVE standout Curt Stallion. However, Greene made his NXT debut last night in a segment with Timothy Thatcher, seemingly setting up a feud between the two former EVOLVE standouts.

Greene is just one of the many stars to get new names in this fashion. Tehuti Miles wrestled for several months on 205 Live before being renamed Ashante Adonis before being used on NXT television, and other talents like Brendan Vink, Omari Palmer, and Daniel Vidot have all received new ring names over the past several weeks.

Going forward, it seems that Greene will now be known as August Grey. You can watch the segment with Greene and Thatcher below.
