Vince McMahon Has Lost Interest In Heavy Machinery

Plans in the WWE change on a dime. Things often go at the whim of Vince McMahon, who has a final say on everything. One day he’s high on a superstar and the next minute they’re an afterthought.

One of the superstars Vince was high on at one point was Otis, formerly of Heavy Machinery. Despite being part of a tag team, Otis was getting heavy television time and storylines, giving him a push that led to winning the Money In the Bank contract. Otis’ run with the briefcase was plagued by no set plans for him, things changing around so much that it was described as being in a holding pattern.

And then the sudden shift happened, Otis lost the briefcase to The Miz and Tucker turning on Otis. Once the team had officially split up, there had been talk of Otis and Tucker being put on opposing teams for Survivor Series, but according to a Ringside News report, Tucker and Otis have fallen out of favor with The Chairman.

Otis was not featured on Smackdown this past week, and Ricochet dispatched Tucker in a quick squash match and according to their report, it’s been said Otis “is not a priority anymore.” When asked for a reason, a tenured member of the creative team simply told them “and you’re surprised by this?”

Vince McMahon gets final say on things that appear on television, and this is just one more example how his interests dictate what we see on television.
