Two Title Challenges issued at NJPW Road to Power Struggle Night 1

Earlier this morning, NJPW began their road to Power Struggle tour at Tokyo’s famous Korakuen Hall and by the end of the night two title challenges were issued, 1 for the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Titles and one for IWGP Super Jr tag titles.

After the 6 man tag team match in which the Los Ingobernables de Japon team of Shingo Takagi, Hiromu Takahashi and BUSHI defeated the Suzuki Gun team featuring Minoru Suzuki, El Desperado and Yoshinobu Kanemaru. Hiromu would go on to challenge current IWGP Super Jr Tag Team Champions El Desperado and Yoshinobu Kanemaru.

In the Main Event for the Never Open 6 Man Tag Team Titles, Champions Hirooki Goto, Tomohiro Ishii and YOSHI-HASHI defeated the Challengers Taichi, Zack Sabre Jr. and DOUKI. Following the match YOSHI-HASHI would issue the challenge to IWGP Heavyweight Champions Zack Sabre Jr and Taichi, although its not clear who will be YOSHI-HASHI’s tag team partner yet and Sabre could be heard refusing the challenge.

Although neither match has been confirmed and no date has been currently set, which match up are you most excited for?
