Paul Heyman On Ronda Rousey’s Contract

Former WWE RAW women’s champion Ronda Rousey is still contracted to WWE.

WWE confirmed to TMZ back in January 2019,  that her deal is set to run until April 2021, so as of this writing she has about six months left on the deal.

Paul heyman recently conducted an interview with the New York Post. ‘The special council to the tribal chief’ would say the following on Rousey’s contract situation.

“That’s another funny thing about people who don’t discuss their business in public forums,” Heyman stated. “Everyone presumes that Ronda Rousey’s contract expires at a certain time. I don’t understand why people don’t realize that perhaps, just perhaps, Ronda Rousey’s contract has been extended or she has worked out a new deal and it would not benefit either WWE or Ronda Rousey to go public with that information. But why wouldn’t people understand that it would be kept secret?”

Wise words from Heyman, very few people know the inner workings of the business more than him.

Ronda Rousey was the biggest signing in the history of women’s wrestling. The fact WWE managed to get the face of UFC to switch over to the wrestling world was a major coup, and both Rousey and WWE reaped the benefits. ‘The baddest women on the planet’ participated in the first ever women’s main event of Wrestlemania against Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch, many believe without Rousey that milestone simply would not of happened.
