WWE Apparently Banning Only Specific Superstars From Using Third Party Sites

WWE recently told their Superstars that they are no longer allowed to use third party sites such as Twitch and Cameo to make money. This decision was met with a lot of criticism from fans and wrestlers alike.

According to a report by The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE Superstars will be required to ask for permission from the company before they can start a third party page like Cameo or OnlyFans. They are also allowed to use their real names, which the company previously did not allow. However, there are also “a variety of factors” which could stop them.

Regarding if talent was to get an endorsement deal or have a way to earn money on platforms like Cameo or Only Fans, are they allowed to do it using their real name, the reaction was that there are a variety of factors in play including agreements in place and how activations are branded and/or promoted on multiple platforms. The matter will be determined through the specifics and communication. In other words, it seems like things are on a case-by-case basis.

To add to that, WWE Superstars who had a store on Pro Wrestling Tees will have to stop as well. The Superstars have until October 2nd to comply with the company’s decisions.
