UFC Files For Four New Trademarks For “UFSEA”

UFC has filed for an interesting new trademark.

According to Josh Gerben, a Trademark Attorney based out of Washington, UFC has filed for four new trademarks for the term “UFSEA”. The filings are said to be similar to those that UFC filed back in April for “Fight Island,” which we could potentially be less than a month away from finally see become a reality.

“The UFC has filed 4 new trademark applications for UFSEA.

The filings indicate an intent to use the UFSEA trademark in connection with mixed martial arts events and a clothing brand.

These filings come on the heels of the UFC’s filings back in April for ‘FIGHT ISLAND.’ “

The UFC filing application reads, under the goods and services section of the filing, as follows (via MMA Fighting):

“Entertainment services, namely, arranging and conducting mixed martial arts competitions and events; arranging and conducting special events for social entertainment purposes; entertainment services, namely, providing non-downloadable audio and video recordings featuring sports and mixed martial arts via the Internet, television, cable and satellite; entertainment services, namely, a multimedia program series featuring sports and mixed martial arts distributed via various platforms across multiple forms of transmission media; educational services, namely, instruction in the field of fitness and mixed martial arts; providing instructional programs and classes in the fields of fitness and mixed martial arts; sports training services; physical fitness training and conditioning services; and providing information relating to entertainment, sports, mixed martial arts, and sporting events.”

So far there has been no comment yet from the UFC as to exactly what the trademarks that were filed for will be used for.
