Update On What Brock Lesnar Said To Matt Riddle During Backstage Confrontation At Royal Rumble

It’s been reported that there was a confrontation backstage Sunday night at the Royal Rumble PPV in Houston, Texas between WWE Champion Brock Lesnar and NXT Superstar Matt Riddle.

There have been conflicting reports regarding the confrontation, as WWE PPV Kickoff Pre-show Panelist Sam Roberts claimed that he didn’t hear anything about a confrontation between Lesnar and Riddle Sunday at The Rumble. However, lots of other reports have stated differently.

It’s also been reported that there is a lot of heat currently backstage on Matt Riddle.

According to a report from TalkSport, who were present at the Royal Rumble on Sunday, a WWE Official confirmed to them what Brock Lesnar said to Matt Riddle backstage Sunday at the Royal Rumble PPV. Their report also went on to say that tensions never really rose especially high during the incident.

“According a WWE official, Lesnar is said to have approached Riddle backstage and grabbed his shoulder to get his attention.

Then, Lesnar said: “Kid, you might as well stop saying my name and tagging me in sh*t because you and I will never work together. Ever.”

Riddle is said to have tried talking to Brock when they first encountered but didn’t really get a chance to. Lesnar said what he had to say and kept it moving. Riddle was his usual, cool and composed self during the exchange, tensions never rose especially high.”
