Original Plan For CM Punk’s Wrestling Return Revealed

Former WWE World Champion CM Punk made his wrestling return this weekend albeit under a mask at a MKE wrestling event, which was founded by ROH’s Silas Yount, when he ran in and saved Ace Steele.

According to a report from Wrestling Inc, to keep CM Punk’s appearance secret, Punk waited outside the building in a car until it was time for him to do his run-in.

Punk had been spotted earlier in the day wearing the same black hooded sweatshirt at a BJJ tournament that the masked man was wearing during his run-in at the MKE event at the Knights of Columbus building.

It was also stated that the original plan for CM Punk’s appearance was for him to do the run-in, hit the GTS, make the save on Ace Steele, and then unmask and reveal his identity to the 350 fans in attendance. Instead however, Punk did not unmask before exiting the building.

Silas Young confirmed CM Punk’s appearance last night at his MKE event, you can see his tweets regarding Punk’s return below.
