Historically the weeks following WrestleMania have seen many NXT call-ups over the years, and it sounds like WWE might have their eye on two more talents to make the move to the main roster.
NXT Superstars Candice LeRae and Kairi Sane were participants in this year’s WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal, which was eventually won by Carmella. However, their usage in the Women’s Battle Royal appears to be more than just filler, as a new report has stated that WWE is considering both women for the main roster sometime soon.
On the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio Dave Meltzer discussed their appearance in the WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal, and revealed that WWE is considering moving them up to the main roster.
“They had two NXT women. Candice LeRae and Kairi Sane who are, in fact, two women that have been talked about bringing up to the main roster. I don’t know if they’re going to be or not.”
With WrestleMania 36 taking place in Tampa, Florida next year at Raymond James Stadium home of the NFL Team the Buccaneers and features a huge pirate ship as part of the venue, Kairi’s name has been mentioned previously as having a special entrance for the “Pirate Princess.”
We will keep you updated if we hear anything else about potential NXT main roster call-ups.
