With WrestleMania 35 two weeks away, WWE has decided that Rey Mysterio will be facing Samoa Joe for the United States Championship.
The rumors were that Rey Mysterio was going to face off against Andrade in a mask vs hair match but it seems that those plans have been pushed to the wayside.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that indeed that match was planned originally but the match had been canceled.
The reasoning for Samoa Joe against Mysterio is unknown but it is expected that Mysterio’s son Dominick will be involved in some fashion.
As of right now Andrade is out of a match at WrestleMania and the assumption was that Andrade would’ve lost the match due to the fact of how popular Rey is with his marketing of the mask.
