The “Nature Boy” Ric Flair has filed a lawsuit against FAM Networks. The allegations are that FAM, which is a digital talent agency, took control of his name, likeness, and online presence while failing to deliver on their promises that were to deliver a significant income for the 21x World Champion.
According to the Independent, the WWE Hall of Famer filed this lawsuit in Manhattan Supreme Court seeking at least $10 million from FAM Networks.
As is stated in the lawsuit, Flair signed this agreement with the company back in December of 2025 after being promised they would help with managing and even monetizing his digital brand. He alleges the agreement gave FAM Networks an irrevocable, perpetual, and worldwide license involving his name, likeness, image, voice, and social media.
Flair says he was put in a situation where he signed the agreement without having an attorney review it because he alleges he was put in a time crunch of just minutes for the decision. He felt he didn’t have much of a choice.
The lawsuit further claims that FAM promised Flair substantial income opportunities. Instead, Flair suggests the company failed to book the speaking engagements, appearances, and other promises he was told would happen.
Even with all that one of the biggest point of contention revolves around Flair’s Facebook page. He alleges that FAM took control of his page promising to help restore its engagement leading to monetization and potential to generate significant revenue. Flair claims that FAM was able to make around $20,000 per month from his page while he received little or no money. His claim is that he lost at least $250,000 as a result of this alone.
As a result, Flair is requesting the agreement be voided, control of his digital properties returned to him and a full accounting of the money that was generated using his name and likeness be performed and presented to him.
The lawsuit seeks at least $5 million for breach of contract and an additional $5 million for alleged fraudulent inducement, as well as additional damages and legal costs. As of writing FAM Networks has not publicly responded to Flair’s allegations.
Just a reminder, as with any lawsuit, these claims have not been proven in court to be fact.
If anything the case raises an increasingly important issue in the world of professional wrestling and beyond: Never sign a contract without knowing exactly what you’re getting yourself into. If they are serious about the deal then they will await for you to take the proper channels.
