Oba Femi brushing Bronson Reed’s foot from his back during WWE Raw was reportedly unscripted and caught members of the company’s backstage team by surprise.
The moment followed a prolonged attack by The Vision on the Sept. 7 episode. Femi, still heavily taped following the previous night’s Sunday Night’s Main Event, confronted the group before being overwhelmed by Bron Breakker, Reed and their allies. After Femi absorbed multiple Spears and Tsunamis, Reed placed his foot on the fallen former NXT champion’s back. Femi immediately pushed it away before the segment ended.
According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, Femi’s reaction was not included in the planned segment. Several people backstage reportedly noticed the deviation, and some were unhappy about what happened.
The source of that displeasure remains unclear. The report did not specify whether personnel objected to Reed placing his foot on Femi, Femi refusing to accept the pose or the interaction as a whole.
That distinction is important because neither wrestler’s motivation has been publicly established. The brief exchange has generated considerable speculation online, but there is no confirmed indication of a legitimate dispute between Femi and Reed. Their rivalry began one night earlier in Atlanta, where Reed returned during Femi’s match against Breakker. Reed interfered and joined The Vision in attacking Femi, setting up the confrontation on Raw.
