The Boogeyman Signs New WWE Contract

The Boogeyman, whose real name is Marty Wright, took to Twitter to announce that he has inked a new deal with WWE. In the post, he thanked WWE CEO, Vince McMahon.

Wright initially started with WWE as a contest in the 2004 Tough Enough competition. Wright was cut from the show, however, after it was revealed he had lied about his age. Wright did sign a contract, remaining with WWE on a full-time role until 2009. Since 2012, he’s made sporadic WWE appearances, including competing in the 2015 Royal Rumble and winning the WWE 24/7 Championship in January 2021. He has wrestled 39 matches since his WWE release, with his latest coming in July of last year for Southwest Wrestling Entertainment in Lubbock, Texas.

The contract is presumably the standard legends deal.
