Yesterday, Bodyslam covered a report by Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com that the belief was that the Motor City Machine Guns contracts would be expiring soon.
Now, we have more on the subject from Fightful Select:
“Sources near TNA did tell us that they believe it was true. We’re told that TNA’s offers of late have been categorically different than what many were expecting, especially after some of the talent meetings held in recent months. While we can’t speak to the Motor City Machine Guns specifically, we’ve heard that some talent are instead being offered per-date deals instead of full on contracts. We’re working to find out if that is widespread.”
Alex Shelley is scheduled to take on Nic Nemeth on Friday night, and then both men team up – possibly for the last time under the TNA banner – as the Motor City Machine Guns take on the TNA Tag Team Champions, Brian Myers & Eddie Edwards (w/Alisha), members of The System.
Bodyslam also covered a recent Fightful Select report that Steve Maclin has a contract expiring at the end of May.
TNA also recently announced the signing of former MLW World Champion, Alex Hammerstone.
We’ll continue to monitor this situation as it plays out.
