Sting Reflects On His Final Descent From The Rafters On The 2/28 Edition Of AEW Dynamite

The Icon reflects on his final descent before retirement.

On the February 28 edition of AEW Dynamite, Sting would make one final descent from the rafters where he saved his tag team partner and one-half of the AEW Tag Team Championships, Darby Allin and the Nature Boy Ric Flair from a ruthless attack by the Young Bucks.

Sting spoke to Marc Raimondi of ESPN about making the save in his rival descent. This is what the Icon had to say.

“You climb and step over that rail, and it’s like, ‘It’s time to let go now,'” Sting said. “I used to say my sphincter muscle gets very tight in those moments. And it does. It can be scary. I had one little pang when I was up there. It was like a 30-second pang when I realized I’m getting ready to do this here again.

“We’re having this casual conversation. ‘All right, you ready to go?’ I’m ready. Let’s go.”

Sting will officially compete in his retirement match at AEW Revolution when he teams with Allin to take down the Young Bucks and retain the AEW Tag Team Championships.
