Trinity On Signing With IMPACT: Going From Feeling So Not Wanted To Feeling So Wanted That Was The Game-Changer For Me, Comments On TNA Rebrand
Trinity currently sits on top of the IMPACT Knockouts Division- arguably THE best womens division of any North American company as far as booking and utilization – as the Knockouts World Champion.
Trinity debuted with IMPACT Wrestling on the 5/4 episode when she put the entire Knockouts division on notice, including the champion at the time – Deonna Purrazzo. Trinity’s official debut match was against KiLynn King two weeks later on the 5/18 IMPACT episode.
Speaking with Adrian Hernandez, Trinity revealed some of the details of her phone call with Kim.
“I think it was just her belief in me [that provided a sense of reassurance]. Had other conversations, but that support and that conversation she and I had, it hit me in a way that it just felt right,” Trinity said. “I thank Gail so much because that conversation is what made me seal the deal for me to go to IMPACT. It was Gail, so I knew that I would be in good hands. I knew that I would be taken seriously. I knew that I would be valued, I knew that I would be heard. That’s just what I knew I needed at that point in my career.”
“Also, just the scheduling and everything all that was important to me as well because I do have a family. I still wanted to be able to go support my husband. I still wanted to have space to grow and perform and work, but still be able to move how I needed to move, and try new things, and be there for my family. So everything just all came together. Gail had a lot to do with that, Scott had a lot to do with that. Going from feeling so not wanted to feeling so wanted that was the game-changer for me.”

Trinity also had something to say – in a recent but separate interview – about IMPACT Wrestling rebranding back to TNA.
During an interview with Denise Salcedo, Trinity quipped that she enjoyed the announcement especially because now she will be able to call it “TriniTNA” Wrestling.
“That was a huge announcement. I’m very excited. I’m very excited to be a part of the company during this time and I love the fact that now I could say ‘TriniTNA,’” she said.

Trinity would go on to tear through the division for months, going undefeated and earning herself a Knockouts World Title shot at the company Slammiversary PPV back in July. Trinity would go on to defeat Deonna Purrazzo via submission at the event.
Trinity would then defend against Deonna at Emergence a little over a month later, and for the first time in IMPACT history, submitted Deonna Purrazzo for a second time and retained her title.
Trinity had another successful title defense a few weeks ago against Alisha Edwards at the LIVE Victory Road event. Trinity was also part of the winning team at IMPACT 1000 night 2 when she teamed with TNA/IMPACT legends Gail Kim, Awesome Kong, and Mickie James to take on Deonna Purrazzo, Angelina Love,’Gisele Shaw, Savannah Evans, and Tasha Steelz.
Trinity also successfully defended her Knockouts World Title against Mickie James at Bound For Glory just days before the company headed over to the UK. Trinity had her third and final bout with Deonna Purrazzo at the Turning Point event, which was filmed in the UK, with Gail Kim as the Special Guest Referee. The match ended the same way the two previous bouts between the two did – with Trinity tapping out Deonna.
