On October 28th, IMPACT Wrestling was in the Coventry, England, United Kingdom as part of their Invasion Tour. Leon Slater was officially signed by IMPACT/TNA Wrestling on the literal back of President, Scott D’Amore.
While speaking to NerdlyUK for a recent interview, Brian Myers said that he can’t comprehend how Slater does a Swanton 450, but also noted that he’s going to be an exceptional addition to the X-Division.
“I did watch a little bit of his stuff on the tour and that was the first time I’ve ever seen him. Prior to that, I had seen the graphics and I said, ‘Who is this guy?’ Someone smartened me up and said, ‘All I know is that he does a Swanton 450.’ I just sat there dumbfounded, i’m trying to picture it in my head like, no he doesn’t, I can’t even picture this. Then I watched the monitor and I watched him do it the first night and even though I saw it with my own eyes, I still don’t understand or quite comprehend what I saw. He’s a special talent and I’m sure he’ll be an exceptional addition to the X-Division.”

Shortly after his signing, top New Japan Pro Wrestling star Will Ospreay came out in congratulations of Slater, having stepped into the ring opposite Slater just months prior.
Former two time and longest reigning IMPACT Wrestling World Champion, Josh Alexander, welcomed Leon Slater to the company.
Slater was the second official signing of the TNA era, following PCO at number one.
The future is very bright for slater, and many fans are very excited with his potential with TNA headed into 2024.
