New Details On Bryan Danielson’s Injury

Bryan Danielson, who has not wrestled since he and Claudio Castagnoli defeated Kazuchika Okada and Orange Cassidy on the October 25th Dynamite, is currently out of action with a broken orbital bone, which was confirmed by AEW this week. He was undergoing surgery for a broken orbital and will miss some ring time as the company said he will be back “later in the year.”

Fightful is reporting that the hope is that Danielson will not miss a ton of time. It was also confirmed that the injury occurred as a freak accident. The following was reported:

While Danielson sold the injury during the tag team match with Kazuchika Okada, he actually sustained the injury very early in the Andrade match on Collision. Danielson told several that he actually happened on the opening collar and elbow tie up when Danielson caught an errant forearm or elbow.

Danielson could be seen reacting to the injury during the match.

Danielson has been praised for his creative work and will continue to assist behind the scenes.
