Carmelo Hayes addresses tonight’s NXT vs Dynamite head to head.
NXT and AEW used to both run concurrently on Wednesday night’s before WWE surrendered the Wednesday Night Wars and moved the brand to Tuesday nights.
Now, due to a scheduling change, AEW Dynamite will go down on a Tuesday night with both shows being stacked to the rafters for tonight’s incredible night of wrestling.
Appearing on Busted Open Radio, Carmelo Hayes was asked if there was any pressure going into the show. He would then go onto speak about wanting to come out on top with the head to head.
“Not necessarily. This just came up within the week. I didn’t know, we didn’t know. ‘Oh, okay, we’re doing this.’ The task is still the task. Let’s get these new eyes and keep these new eyes, regardless of who is running on what day or what’s going on. Let’s take this opportunity to utilize these big names being here and helping our product. Let’s build this further and further; regardless of who is running, it doesn’t matter, we’re going to do what we do,
“Who doesn’t want to come out on top? We’re all competitive deep down inside. It’s not something where we’re like, ‘I just hope we do well.’ Nah, we want to come out on top. I, personally, want to come out on top. Maybe I’m not speaking for everybody, but me, Carmelo Hayes, whatever I’m doing is going to come out on top. I’ll leave it there.”
“More so, it’s on a Tuesday night. We do Tuesday nights. That’s what it really comes down to. We’ll show you the show on Tuesday night.”

Hayes is currently scheduled to go one on one with Bron Breakker on tonight’s edition of NXT, while John Cena will be in his corner. Paul Heyman on the other hand will be in Breakker’s corner for the bout.
Asuka, Cody Rhodes and more are also scheduled for tonight’s edition of NXT, with it believed that Undertaker will also feature on the show.
We will have to wait and see what the ratings will look like coming out of tonight’s head to head.
