Swerve Strickland thinks a lot of fans wish Swerve In Our Glory held the AEW Tag Team Titles.
Swerve In Our Glory are former AEW World Tag Team Champions, and had a solid run as champions before Swerve decided to go into business for himself and turn on the behemoth in Lee. The two men have yet to have a blow off match in All Elite Wrestling, and Swerve is currently involved in a program with Hangman Page while Lee has struggled to maintain a consistent presence on AEW TV.
Speaking on the Mark Hoke Show, Swerve looked back on his tag team run with Keith Lee.
“Working with Keith at the time was a phenomenal experience. I bet a lot of fans wish we had the tag titles now. Not to take any credit away from FTR, they’re still putting out bangers, especially what they did with Jay White and Juice Robinson, which is one of the best tag matches I’ve seen all year, it was incredible work. I feel like there is a flux in the tag team division that we’re still working on. When me and Keith tagged earlier this year against Darby Allin and Orange Cassidy, people were like, ‘this is nostalgia.’ Nostalgia, it wasn’t even a year ago. It was a little nostalgia and people were like, ‘these guys guys, we didn’t appreciate these guys when they were on top with the tag titles.’ It was a very unique thing, bringing out the Rick Ross ‘accusations’ GIFs, Kevin Gates, doing these unique things. You didn’t know what was going to happen between us because there was always something unique with our entrance. ‘Are they on the same page?’ There was always a story, not between our opponents, but the story was me and Keith, that’s what made our tag team unique,”

Keith Lee hasn’t appeared on AEW programming since August 23rd on AEW Collision. He did feature on WrestleDream: Zero Hour however in an eight person mixed tag team match.
We will have to wait and see if Tony Khan will book this blowoff match in the coming weeks.
