When WWE Began To Have Interest In Signing Jade Cargill

WWE have had interest in signing Jade Cargill since July of this year.

Cargill is a former TBS Champion, holding the belt for around 500 days before dropping it to Kris Statlander back at AEW Double Or Nothing. She returned on last Saturday’s Collision and laid out Statlander, before losing a title rematch with Statlander on Friday’s Rampage.

The match was a physical one, with fans giving the match its due for how entertaining it was. The two women shared a hug after the match as Cargill said goodbye to All Elite Wrestling.

Fightful Select now reports that WWE began to consider signing Jade Cargill back in July of this year.

WWE has long had interest, but some within WWE had heard of interest back in July, and several associated with her teased that “big moves could be coming,” though they didn’t outright say what those moves would be. There were several people close to her that were being coy about her future plans, not outright mentioning WWE, however, higher ups in AEW were aware of the plans to jump to WWE.

As of this writing, it has been reported that Jade is not making her way to WWE for financial reasons.

That being said, it has also been reported that Cargill will be on more money than usual for newcomers and will be given a focal push upon making her WWE debut.

We will have to wait and see how long it is until we see Cargill make her way to WWE television, but she is not scheduled for this week’s RAW or NXT as of this writing.
