Rhea Ripley Reveals How Buddy Matthews Feels About Her Partnership With Dominik Mysterio

Rhea Ripley discusses how Buddy Matthews feels about her Latino Heat.

The storyline with Ripley and Dominik began around this time last year and has been going strong since then. Despite a lot of romantic implications by commentary and other WWE stars on television, this has not been explicitly confirmed in the realm of kayfabe, regardless of the innuendos of Rhea being his “Mami”.

This has not stopped a lot of fans (and Max Caster) from poking fun at Matthews for the storyline, something which he also addressed on live television by interrupting Caster’s 5th attempt at mentioning the storyline in his freestyle entrance raps.

In an interview with Riju Dasgupta of Sportskeeda Wrestling, Ripley was asked about the whispers, and she provided a hint. She would also go on to discuss how Buddy Matthews, her real life partner, feels about the storyline.

“That’s our little secret [laughs]. I can’t tell you guys because then the secret’s out the bag, and then people won’t talk about it anymore. But it’s pretty spicy stuff,”

“To be honest, it’s pretty easy [laughs]. Look, I love my fiancé, I think he’s great, but when I’m at work, I am a completely different human being. When I’m at work, Dom is my partner. He is my partner in crime. He is my Latino heat, my Dirty Dominik Mysterio, and I will do absolutely anything I can to get him on top of anyone that he’s against. But for me, it’s just sort of like a switch, and he understands that as well. That’s why it works,”

Ripley and Dominik continue to be large parts of The Judgement Day, while Buddy is a part of the House Of Black with AEW.
