More Employees Let Go By WWE From Network And Podcasting Divisions, Over 40-50 Employees Already Let Go

The WWE layoffs continue.

The cuts have already begun today, with multiple executives already being laid off within WWE.

It was also reported that it was believed WWE talent could be laid off as soon as today. However, the belief within the company is not the same. This is not stopped many employees from being on “pins and needles” regarding the lay offs.

PW Insider noted that two divisions have seen significant cuts. Those two divisions are the podcasting and WWE Network divisions.

“The latest on the WWE layoffs is that we have heard both the WWE Network and Podcasting divisions have been hit with employees being let go, but we haven’t confirmed who or how many from those areas.”

Among WWE employees, there has been talk that already 40-50 employees are gone, potentially more. I give that number with caution since there’s been a lot of information flowing and a lot of emotions among those involved and departing – we do not have a hard number at this time.

During WrestleMania 39 weekend, the sale of WWE was officially announced as Vince McMahon had accepted an offer from Endeavor and the plan became to merge the WWE and UFC to form a 21 billion dollar company. Now, the merger with the UFC to form a new company, TKO Group has finalized as the company will now start trading on the stock market.
