WWE Expected To Try Get Cities To Bid For All 12 Premium Live Events A Year After Endeavor Takeover

WWE are going to try make even more money with regards to Premium Live Events.

Backlash was a very big Premium Live Event for the company earlier this year, as they went to Puerto Rico and were paid a big chunk of change by Puerto Rico to hold the show there.

This is a strategy that has been used quite a bit by WWE, with them consistently earning a good chunk of change for the PLE’s that went up for bid.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer disclosed potential strategies WWE is considering for promoting their Premium Live Event business.

“We’ll be seeing a lot more of WWE trying to get cities to bid for at least the big shows – I mean the goal is for all 12 pay-per-view shows – but right now, I think the goal is four or five for next year, and maybe more as time goes on, as UFC is doing as well.”

After the success of WWE Backlash, it looks like WWE will be heading to more specialized locations for Premium Live Events. Backlash saw an incredible atmosphere, with the event being praised by higher ups for its success.

We will have to wait and see where WWE will decide to go next for a location of a premium live event now they are under the control of Endeavor.

WWE recently announced the location of the 2024 Royal Rumble.
