How Top Talent In WWE Reacted To CM Punk’s Firing, If They Want To Work With Him And More

WWE top talent react to Punk’s firing from AEW.

It has been a tumultuous couple of weeks regarding CM Punk. At AEW All In, Punk was involved in yet another backstage altercation. However, this one would be different than those in the past in various ways. Namely, Punk not only fought with Jack Perry, he also reportedly lunged at AEW president Tony Khan while furiously quitting the company.

These events would leave Khan no other choice but to fire the Chicago native with cause, despite Punk’s drawing power and status as the companies “real world’s champion”. Punk has yet to comment on the matter.

PWInsider now reports while there are talent that do not want him in WWE, there is at least one who would be open to the idea of Punk returning to the company.

CM Punk was an immediate topic of discussion within WWE after his AEW firing, especially among top talents.  There were some who were adamantly against the idea & didn’t believe it could happen, but others who looked at it as a “chance to make big money.” One top tier star was all for it, but it wouldn’t be their call.

The same report shared that Punk and Triple H spoke briefly at a RAW months ago which Punk visited.

Punk has had an intense history of backstage drama in the promotion, with the AEW All Out Brawl perhaps being the most infamous incident in All Elite Wrestling’s short history and more recently, Punk has been reported to have had issues with several AEW stars backstage.

Megha Parekh has been present for much of the CM Punk drama for good reason and was the lead on the investigation into Punk prior to his firing with cause.
