We have an update on why Nigel McGuinness will not feature on the card for AEW All In.
According to WrestleTix, AEW All In is currently at over 80,846 tickets distributed. This would be a new record for a wrestling event. The previous record was set at WWE WrestleMania 32 with 80,709 tickets accounted for at the turnstiles. AEW All In is set for August 27 at Wembley Stadium in London, England.
The show is the most anticipated in the history of the promotion and will feature several of the top names in the promotion. However, not everyone will make the PPV on Sunday, as even with AEW’s tendency to have long PPV’s, there is only so much room to go around on the card. This is an attribute to how successful AEW has been under Tony Khan’s direction. One man who desperately wanted to be on that card is Nigel McGuinness.
Fightful Select now reports that McGuiness has cited Bryan Danielson’s broken arm injury as the reason he was not on the card for Sunday’s event.
It doesn’t look like we’ll be seeing Nigel McGuinness wrestle on AEW All in. Recently, Fightful reported that Nigel McGuinness had taken steps to return to in-ring action ahead of AEW’s All In show in his home country of England. However, he claims he won’t be wrestling on the show. When speaking to WrestleTalk’s Tempest while he was representing Fightful at today’s media junket, Nigel McGuinness said that he will not be wrestling at All In, and specifically cited Bryan Danielson being injured as something that kept him from wrestling on it. He also noted he believes he’s better as a commentator.

We will have to wait and see how lucrative AEW All In will be when it airs on Sunday evening from Wembley Stadium in London and if Warner Bros Discovery will continue to be happy with how the company continues to succeed.
