Lance Anoa’i Left With Red, Purple and Swollen Chest Following Chop Battle With Go Shiozaki

On August 19th at night five of Pro Wrestling NOAH N-1 VICTORY 2023 tournament, Lance Anoa’i gained two more points as he defeated Go Shiozaki to place him in a tie for first place in the B block with Katsuhiko Nakajima.

Despite the win, Anoa’i looked like he had been through a war as his chest was red, purple and swollen due to a vicious chop battle with Shiozaki during the course of the match.

Anoa’i commented backstage after the war with Shiozaki:

Look at what Shiozaki did! I endured this and got 6 points, tied for 1st place with Nakajima. There are 3 games left, next is Soya, it’s your turn!”

Anoa’i’s next match in the N-1 will be against Manabu Soya on August 20th in Sapporo.
