Vinny Pacifico Talks His Upcoming NJPW Debut, Hopes To Work For Them Again In The Future

Indy star Vinny Pacifico is set to make his New Japan Pro-Wrestling debut on August 19th at the All Star Junior Festival in Philadelphia. Pacifico is scheduled to face Goldy in the kickoff match of the event which will air live on YouTube.

Pacifico was a recent guest on In The Weeds with Jeremy Lambert & Joel Pearl as he discussed his upcoming NJPW debut and what the fans can expect from him:

They can expect a lot of energy, as always, and G Fuel. I’m very grateful for New Japan. This has been in the works for quite a while. I’ve been talking to them for a bit, seeing when it could work out, and now it worked out. Timing is everything, and I’ve never been more ready in my life. Very excited for this. This is something I’ve had on my list for a very long time, New Japan. Thinking back when I started, I was like, ‘New Japan would be amazing,’ but at the time, it didn’t seem very likely. Over the years, you work hard, you make things happen, and I’m so happy and grateful it’s happening.

Pacifico was asked if he hopes his first match with NJPW will lead to more opportunities with the promotion:

I would love to work for New Japan. I would love to go to Japan, that’s a big goal of mine and has been a goal of mine, not only to wrestle, but Japan is beautiful. The culture. Wrestling in Japan is very sacred and that’s something I have a deep passion for and I would love the opportunity to go over to Japan. Hopefully I’ll go out there on Saturday, show out and it leads to more. I’m very optimistic and I’m hoping to work for New Japan again in the future.
