SummerSlam 2023: Finn Balor vs Seth Rollins Match Result

The World Heavyweight Championship was on the line at SummerSlam.

Both men had mind games in mind in their entrances, as Balor had painted the word Seven on his shoulder, referencing their match seven years ago at SummerSlam. Seth would have a similar idea in mind, wearing the vest he worse back at that event seven years ago.

When the match got underway, it was intense from the get go with callbacks abound from both men. At one point, Balor would hit a running powerbomb into the barricade on the outside, the move which hurt Balor’s shoulder back in 2016.

The two men’s chemistry was incredibly clear, with Rollins hitting a pedigree on Balor for a two count later on. After a right hand from a recently arrived Damian Priest, Balor would hit the Pedigree back on Rollins for a two count.

The rest of Judgement Day would enter the ringside area at this point, and chaos would reign. In the end, Priest would attempt to distract the referee so Balor could use the Money In The Bank briefcase. However, Rollins would end up hitting the curb stomp on the briefcase to capture the win.
