Tony Schiavone Says His Collision Promo With CM Punk Was One Of His Favorite Segments In AEW

Tony Schiavone talks CM Punk’s recent promo on AEW Collision.

On AEW Collision this past week, CM Punk finally revealed what was in his red bag he’s been carrying around. In the ring with him for this moment was Tony Schiavone, who seemed to enjoy the segment immensely.

On the latest edition of the What Happened When podcast, Schiavone said that the segment with Punk was one of his favorite segments he’s done.

“You’re not gonna be able to beat me and CM Punk and Ricky Starks this last Saturday. That has to go down as one of my favorite ones. I really enjoyed that. I loved it, loved the whole segment. I loved that segment, and I loved that segment the week before, when we established that tag team match. But I loved the stuff I did with Britt, when we did the thing with getting our nails done. I liked all of that stuff, working with her. But I really think that that segment Saturday night was one of favorites, if not my favorite of all time, me being a part of it.”

In the segment, Punk spray painted a giant X over his version of the AEW World Championship, which he proclaims is the real world championship in the company.

He will defend the title on Saturday when he faces off with Ricky Starks.
