Great-O-Khan States He Turned Down Big Offer From Tony Khan To Remain With NJPW

NJPW star Great-O-Khan is an integral member of the United Empire stable that is led by Will Ospreay. Two of it’s members, Kyle Fletcher and Mark Davis (Aussie Open) signed with AEW back in May.

In a recent interview with Tokyo Sports, O-Khan claimed that Aussie Open signing with AEW was part of United Empire’s plan to expand their reach. In addition, O-Khan indicated that Tony Khan also made a big offer to him to sign with AEW but he decided to remain with NJPW.

Aussie Open (Mark Davis & Kyle Fletcher) went to AEW as an order to expand the Empire’s area of control… As planned. There are big offers from Tony Khan, and MJF has asked me to fight for him, but I turned them down in favor of my invasion of New Japan,”

NJPW recently named Shota Umino, Ren Narita and Yota Tsuji as the Reiwa Three Musketeers which proclaimed those three the cornerstones of the future of NJPW. Great-O-Khan weighed in and gave his thoughts on the Reiwa Three Musketeers:

“The company will push these three people” declaration. Lack of fairness makes me feel stupid for trying hard. In recent new Japan, there are a lot of policies that leave fans and players behind. It all boils down to that.

Great-O-Khan is set to begin the G1 Climax 33 tournament on July 15th as he faces Kazuchika Okada in his opening match.
