When Roderick Strong Left WWE And More Details About His AEW Debut

Roderick Strong recently made his AEW debut, making the save on this week’s AEW Dynamite for Adam Cole, who was being beaten down by the Jericho Appreciation Society.

The debut shocked many fans, as there had been no reports of him receiving his WWE release. It turns out there was a reason for this and more.

PW Insider noted a few things recently about Roderick Strong’s AEW debut, including when his WWE deal expired.

Strong’s WWE deal  actually expired in November of last year. Since WWE does not announce NXT departures and it wasn’t a release but a contract ending, it flew under the radar.

The debut was timed for after Adam Cole’s return and locally in Florida (where he lives) to prevent Strong from being spotted traveling.
