Hiromu Takahashi Would Like To Participate In AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2

Hiromu Takahashi wishes to compete at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2.

Takahashi, the defending IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion, was scheduled to compete at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2022 but was forced to withdraw due to a fever. On June 25, AEW and NJPW will team up for another Forbidden Door event.

Takahashi announced that he was interested in participating at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2 following his victory at NJPW Collision in Philadelphia on April 16.

Also, since I’m in America, let me tell you this. I couldn’t go [last year]. But there will be [a Forbidden Door show] this year, right? Maybe in June, Forbidden Door. I’d love to be there.

Takahashi also shared his thoughts on the All Star Junior Festival USA, which will be place on August 19 at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He mentioned that due to travel costs, they were unable to book foreign talent for the inaugural Junior Festival.

I never thought that the All Star Junior Festival that we did in Japan would be held here in Philadelphia. I’m sure Rocky did a great job with this. I heard Rocky said he wanted to do it after watching the [first show]. I didn’t think it would be held here in Philadelphia. I’m so excited…We couldn’t invite foreign players in Japan. Why couldn’t we invite them? Transportation costs. It costs a lot. This is actually a tough problem .But you can do it here in America, you don’t have to worry about it. I’m in. Rocky-san, of course I’ll go. Even though we’re on opposing teams, we shook hands.
