Konnan Said That Dominik Mysterio’s Angle During The Hall of Fame Ceremony Was Excellent Since It Was Done So Subtly
Dominik Mysterio’s exit from his father’s WWE Hall of Fame ceremony was addressed by Konnan.
When Dominik Mysterio unexpectedly left his father Rey Mysterio’s speech at the 2023 WWE Hall Of Fame induction, the audience wasn’t pleased. Rey would later have some retribution the night after, when he was successful in defeating his son in a singles match on the opening night of WrestleMania 39.
As some fans believe the event went too far in terms of his animosity with Rey, Dominik’s angle at the Hall of Fame has come up for scrutiny in recent weeks.
Konnan, who put ‘The Master Of The 619’ into the Hall Of Fame, discussed the perspective and expressed his admiration for it in a recent interview with Nick Hausman.
“Yeah, and it was very subtly done without having to get into physicality or anything like that. That was excellent.”

Konnan was additionally asked about Dominik Mysterio’s place in the WWE right now and whether or not he is the most formidable antagonist there right now.
“I don’t think so. They wouldn’t even let him talk [in the promo on SmackDown], it was incredible.”

Additionally, Nick Hausman asked Konnan as to whether Dominik was presently a more effective heel than AEW World Champion MJF.
“I don’t know, that’s hard to say. They’re just kinda different heels, the thing is that people like MJF, people don’t like Dominik, so he is a heel. [MJF] went out in Long Island and he’s trying to get over and I don’t think Dominik would ever do that if he went to San Diego.”

In other parts of the conversation, Konnan talked about Kenny Omega and how he was left out of AAA TripleMania.
Rey Mysterio and Dominik recently argued during the opening promo of WWE Raw on April 10.
