Several Ring Of Honor Talent Unhappy About Not Being Used Despite Being Pulled From Independent Dates

After almost a year of acquiring the brand, Khan finally unveiled his fresh vision for it on Thursday via the HonorClub streaming service. Despite the inability to secure a satisfactory television deal, he proceeded with the launch.

According to Dave Meltzer on the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it was noted that several wrestlers expressed their frustration with being left unused during tapings after they had canceled their weekend bookings with independent promotions.

Many wrestlers cancelled bookings on independent shows for the weekend and were paid more than they would have earned on those shows. However, their frustration stemmed from being brought in for events and then not being utilized.

“A lot of the guys canceled their weekend bookings on indie shows and they did get paid more than they would have made on indie shows so that’s not an issue, but the frustration was of guys being brought in and not used.”

One wrestler who was present backstage but not used during the tapings was Dak Draper. Regardless, the first episode of the show was a success for many, so we’ll have to see how ROH will carry on with the momentum.
